Metal merupakan aliran musik yang lebih keras dibandingkan dengan Rock walau terdapat juga band metal yang memiliki lagu dengan nyanyian yang terkesan slow. Genre Metal yang dikategorikan keras dimana lagunya memiliki vocal ala scream, growl dan yang terbaru adalah pigsqueal dimana vokal ini lebih banyak digunakan di aliran hardcore, post-Hardcore, screamo, metalcore, deathcore, death metal, black metal, electronic hardcore dan lainnya. Di Indonesia sendiri aliran band ala vokal scream ini telah banyak ditemukan tetapi masih belum bisa diterima secara terbuka oleh masyarakat umum. Latin

Genre musik tradisional latin ini biasanya merujuk pada musik Amerika latin termasuk musik dari Meksiko, Amerika Tengah, Amerika Selatan, dan Karibia. Musik latin ini memiliki subgenre Samba.

Blues

adalah sebuah aliran musik vokal dan instrumental yang berasal dari Amerika Serikat (AS).

Musik blues berangkat dari musik-musik spiritual dan pujian yang muncul dari komunitas mantan budak-budak Afrika di AS. Penggunaan blue note dan penerapan pola call-and-response (di mana dua kalimat diucapkan/dinyanyikan oleh dua orang secara berurutan dan kalimat keduanya bisa dianggap sebagai “jawaban” bagi kalimat pertama) dalam musik dan lirik lagu-lagu blues adalah bukti asal usulnya yang berpangkal di Afrika Barat. Di era kini banyak Blues Lovers lahir. Mereka menyimak, belajar, menulis, memainkan, dan bikin album.

Musik blues mempunyai pengaruh yang besar terhadap musik populer Amerika dan Barat yang baru, seperti dapat terlihat dalam aliran ragtime, jazz, “blues rock”, “electric blues”, bluegrass, rhythm and blues, rock and roll, hip-hop, dan country, “reggae”, serta musik rock konvensional.

Alternative Rock is a genre of rock that emerged in the 1980s and became very popular in 1990. The name "alternative" was found in 1980 to describe punk rock bands that do not fit with the flow of punk rock at the time. As a specific type of music, alternative rock has a variety of sub-streams, from the indie music which began on 1980 and became popular in 1990, such as indie rock, grunge, gothic rock, and college rock. Streams are consolidated with the respective trademark.
Although alternative stream flow counted as rock, but some sub-streams affected by folk music, reggae, electronic music, and jazz. In this period, the term used to refer to the alternative rock rock music from underground bands in the 1980s, punk rock (including punk itself), and for rock music itself in the 1990s and 2000s.
